About the Club

The idea of a 'Spurs Supporters' Club' in Singapore was first raised in 1999. On the 21st of March, more than 150 Spurs fans gathered at Monkey's Cafe at Orchard Towers to catch the Worthington Cup Final 'live' and were exhilarated at Tottenham Hotspur's triumph over Leicester City. Perhaps the mood incited the proposal of a Spurs Supporters' Club to be set up in Singapore. However, circumstances prevented the idea from materializing and the idea remained just that - an idea. Now, two years later, a group of passionate and dedicated Spurs supporters have once again taken up the challenge of turning this idea into a reality.

Our goals are simple:-

  • To form a community amongst Spurs supporters in Singapore;
  • To raise the profile of Tottenham Hotspur, and establish ourselves in a land where red is the colour of the blind.

Hence, the 'Singapore Spurs Supporters' Club' took shape. A protem committee was formed on 25 August 2001 to establish the Club and to manage its affairs until the Club was officially launched, whereupon a formal committee will be elected.

The Club was granted official status by Tottenham Hotspur Football Club on 11 January 2002, and formally registered with Singapore's Registry of Societies on 13 March 2002. On 27 July 2002, the Club's inaugural Membership Launch took place at Spanky's Diner 'N' Pub (now known as SportzBallz), where more than 150 fans turned up to celebrate the occasion.
